Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter for WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. The journalist's report on the lack of response of the police to DUI incidents in Charleston resulted in an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised policy from state officials regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell later worked at NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. O'Dell is a leading anchor for Access Hollywood. In addition she has contributed to NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She has covered such events as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of Pre-ShowArrivals shows for The Emmys and the Golden Globes.
