Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale (born April 2, 1985) is an American professional player of the basket ball. She is a player for the Dallas Wings and the Women's National Basketball Association. She played college basketball for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, prior to being selected by the Wings as the 5th overall selection in the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale was born on the 2nd March, 1997 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to parents Yolanda and Gregory Ogunbowale. There are two brothers: Mario (26 years old) as well as Dare Ogunbowale (20 years old). Her parents spoilt her the most due to her being the youngest. Gregory's father was part of the Nigerian Army. Ogunbowale hails from a dynamic family. Her mother Yolanda was a softball player for DePaul as did her brother Dare. Dare plays football. The cousin Endia Olive also plays volleyball on the field at Tennessee State. Ogunbowale's name was on the honour roll of her school three straight seasons. While in high school, she has been awarded numerous prizes and was recognized as a celebrity. Arike graduated from Divine Savior Holy Angels High School which is located in her home town. Her academics were followed by three years of play in varsity. Ogunbowale, with her extraordinary capabilities and skills, helped lead her team to incredible victory several times. In her high school career she's scored an impressive 73 career starts and 1 477 points total. There are 739 rebounds. Ogunbowale was crowned gold at the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championships and 2014 FIBA U17 World Championships and 2013 U18 FIBA 3x3 Championships. In 2014, the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team was announced on 7th July 2014. Ogunbowale is also a member of the ACC All-Freshman Team, after her debut season at a college. The coach even thanked the Kobe Bryant after she hit several big shots at the NCCA Tournament. Ogunbowale, a basketball player in her early teens, is a player that has proved to be a great player.
