Cheney claims that the role he plays within the administration as one of an honest but professional adviser to Bush. Cheney has stated in accepting his role as Republican vice president that he would like to serve with a presidential candidate who is willing to work cross-partisan and to collaborate in a manner of good will and for a common cause. Richard Bruce Cheney is the son Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on January 30, 1941, within Lincoln Nebraska. When he was 13 years old, Bruce moved with his parents in Casper (in Wyoming, the State of Wyoming) where his father worked as the Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's the district for soil conservation.
